More support

The freeware GPU-Z has been a reliable tool for anyone who wants to know more about their graphics card. Meanwhile the software is available in version 2.8. The new release adds support for new GPUs and fixed several critical bugs. As always GPU-Z is available in standard and ASUS ROG Themed versions.


Intel XMM 8000 5G modem is coming

A few weeks ago, Qualcomm has outlined its ambitions for the always connected PC with 5G connectivity and today Intel has announced that the process is complete. Intel is working side by side with several partners like Dell, HP, Lenovo and Microsoft in order to equip upcoming systems with 5G connectivity.



Few optimizations

On the official AMD website is available another driver update for AMD GPU users. With the last software update, the Radeon Software Adrenalin Edition hits the 18.2.3 Beta version and comes with optimization for Final Fantasy XII The Zodiac Age, Sea of Thieves, and Brass Tactics.


With black and white color scheme

ASRock is releasing a new ATX motherboard based on AMD AM4 socket and X370 chipset. With the X370 Pro4, ASRock adds a budget-oriented motherboard to its portfolio. Although the rather small price of 95 Euro, it looks pretty interesting.


Based on a IPS panel

Iiyama has expanded its monitor lineup with another model, featuring a 31.5-inch VA panel and 2560 x 1440 resolution. The grey-to-grey response time is 4ms and the refresh rate 60Hz. Apart from that, the monitor combines an IPS LCD panel with flicker-free LED back-lighting that sports a non-PWM method to control brightness which should reduce flickering.



Optimized for Intel Coffee Lake processors

Apacer has announced their Commando memory kits, which have been designed and tested in combination with Intel's Coffee Lake processors. When a new CPU architecture hits the market memory vendors usually conduct extensive stability tests before launching their kits and Apacer is certainly no exception in that regard.


Equipped with dual fan cooler

ASUS already has a wide portfolio when it comes to graphics cards but that didn't stop them from launching yet another two models. The new cards go by the name "Cerberus" and they deliver solid performance at a competitive price point.

Based on 7nm lithography process

According to a rumor posted on WCCFtech, AMD might release a new generation of EPYC CPUs for servers. With EPYC "Rome", AMD will add a 64 cores with 128 threads CPU on a single packaged processor. This increase in core count is possible due to the process node shrink, from 14nm down to GlobalFoundries' 7nm.



Budget oriented chipsets

A few months ago, Intel has released the Z370 chipset which is compatible with Coffee Lake processors. According to the rumors, Intel was supposed to release the H370 and B360 chipsests in the following months as well. However the company haven't unveiled any other chipsets but, according to the latest rumors Intel might unveils three more chipsets during next weeks.


With a MSRP of $429

ASUS revealed its headset based on the Windows Mixed Reality (WMR) VR platform with the HC102 headset. The HC102 WMR headset is designed for easy setup with a focus on ergonomics and comfort. At the moment the HC102 is compatible with over 20'000 Windows apps and more than 2'000 Steam VR games.



Featuring 1800R curvature

AOC has expanded its monitor lineup with another model, featuring a 35-inch VA panel with 1800R curved display and 3440 x 1440 resolution. The grey-to-grey response time is 1ms and the refresh rate 120Hz. Apart from that this monitor will be available with NVIDIA G-Sync support built-in.

New feature for insiders

Microsoft has released a new set of features for Windows Insiders. The most interesting changes are for Windows 10 Pro for Workstations users, but we hope to see good features even for gamers during next updates. With this update there will be two key features: ultimate performance profile and productivity applications ready in the Start menu.


Ryzen 2000 is pretty close

The launch of Zen+ or Ryzen 2000 is expected to take place somewhen in the first half of this year and more details are finally starting to surface including benchmarks scores. According to this first scores, the performance of the upcoming CPUs is rather good.




Featuring RGB fans

If you are looking for a mid-tower case which is compatible with high-end graphics cards, ATX motherboard as well as extensive watercooling setup, Corsair's 570X enclosure might be just what you've been looking for. Although the 570X RGB is available since few months, the company has released a "Mirror black" version. This case is compatible with any kind of hardware as well as extensive custom water cooling setups.


Featuring RGB LEDs

After the apologizes for the X399 motherboard monoblock performance, EKWB is ready to show a new capable monoblock compatible with two MSI motherboards: the X399 Gaming Pro Carbon AC and the X399 SLI Plus. This monoblock will apparently add water cooling to both the CPU and the VRM, thanks to a huge single water block.
